Xtreme Altitude runs on a quarter system, with each quarter encompassing 12 weeks of classes (14 weeks for summer only). Families may register in advance for classes or after a quarter has already started, in which case, tuition will be prorated. Once a family is signed up for a quarter, they are committed through the end of the quarter. In order to register for a class, families should submit a registration/waiver form and choose a form of payment:
Autopay – this option requires a credit card number and authorization form on file. Tuition for the quarter will be spread equally across three months and billed to the credit card on file, on the 15th of each month, beginning the month PRIOR to the start of the quarter. IMPORTANT NOTE: On the autopay system, enrollment is considered ONGOING from quarter to quarter unless written notification is received prior to the start of a new quarter (please see the “Drop” section under Policies).
Payment Up Front – this option requires full payment for the quarter prior to starting classes by a check, cash or credit card. With this system, enrollment is NOT considered ongoing. Therefore, clients choosing this form of payment need to re-register for each quarter during the priority registration period.
Families may request a trial class for their child(ren) through the front desk or online. If, after the trial class, a family decides not to enroll, no money is due. If the trial goes well, and the family chooses to enroll in the program, payment is due that day in order to secure their child’s spot in a class. Families may certainly choose to take some time to think about their enrollment after the trial class, but we cannot guarantee a spot in a class without payment.
All families are billed a yearly registration fee during their initial registration process. The fee is $48 per child or $75 for a family of two or more children. The registration fee is billed every year on the anniversary date of the families’ initial enrollment in the program. Registration fees for team athletes are $60 per child or $96 for a family.
Drop Policy – If you are on autopay, you must submit your drop notice in writing to the front by the priority registration deadline for the upcoming quarter in order to discontinue billing. If your drop notice is received AFTER the priority registration deadline, but prior to the start of a new quarter, you will be billed for one additional month of classes. If your drop notice is received AFTER the start of a new quarter, no refunds will be processed and the tuition for the remainder of the quarter will be billed at the time of your drop. If you pay in full prior to each quarter, no refunds will be processed after payment for the quarter is made.
Please note: Our team programs also run on a quarter system. Payment options for team tuition are the same as above. However, team families should refer to their handbooks for payment policies specific to their program. Policies in the team handbook supercede all policies noted here for team athletes and families.
Makeups – We offer makeups for all our recreational program classes (Lil’ Explorers, Gym Adventures and Tumble Trax). Makeups must be scheduled IN ADVANCE through the front desk. Those who show up without prior authorization may not be permitted to take a makeup class that day. Makeups can only be scheduled in classes where there are fewer than 8 children enrolled. We do not offer makeups for preteam or team level athletes.
Safety in the Gym – Parents are not permitted on the floor at any time. If you need to speak with your child or a coach, please ask a front desk associate for assistance. In the rare event that your child is seriously injured during class, please allow us to escort you on the floor. Siblings of enrolled students must remain with their parents at all times. No child is permitted to play unsupervised in the front desk area or outside the gym.
Pick up and Drop off – Please drop your children off and pick them up on time. Children should not be dropped off at the gym any earlier than 10 minutes prior to the start of their class, or picked up later than 5 minutes after their class has ended.
We are closed on Memorial Day, Independence Day (if it falls on a weekday only) and Labor Day, as well as Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving. These closures are considered “holiday closures" and are subject to our make-up policy (see policies section above for more information). We are also closed two weeks out the year for “vacation”. This closure occurs at the end of December/beginning of January. These vacation weeks are NOT included in any of the weeks that make up our quarters and thus are not subject to make-ups or tuition credit.
Should the gym need to close due to inclement weather, we will indicate the closure on our website as well as on our outgoing message at the front desk. Make-ups for these closures can be scheduled at your convenience through the front desk. No tuition credits will be given for closure due to weather.
FAQs
Do you do birthday parties?
Yes. Please see our birthday party link on the homepage.
Do you offer gymnastics for adults?
Unfortunately, we do not have insurance coverage for adults.
Will my child have the same instructor for the duration of his/her class?
At the start of each new quarter, instructors may change based on any adjustments in scheduling. During a quarter, we make every effort to maintain consistency in coaching staff so that your child can develop a trusting relationship with their instructor. However, an instructor may become ill, may be late or a miss a class for various reasons. In these cases, a substitute of equal ability will take their place. If we are aware of a need for a substitute far in advance, we may choose to notify the families via email as a courtesy.
I would like to discontinue classes that I've already paid for. What is your refund policy?
We do not offer refunds on tuition. Once you register for a quarter, you are financially commited to the end of that quarter. If you would like to drop prior to the end of a quarter, a credit will be placed on your account for any unused tuition. This credit can be used towards future tuition for any child in your family.
My child is not enrolled in your program. Can I schedule a private lesson with one of your instructors?
Due to the time constraints of our coaching staff and in fairness to our clients, we can only offer private lessons to those enrolled in our program. Exceptions will be made for those trying out for a high school cheer squad during the Spring and Summer seasons. In these cases, the family will need to pay a $48 registration fee as well as a gym use fee for each private lesson to the gym. The remaining private lesson money is paid directly to the coach per their individual rate (between $35 and $70 per hour).
