Xtreme Altitude Gymnastics and Cheerleading
Official Gym Rules and Administrative Policies

Welcome to Xtreme Altitude! We look forward to watching your child(ren) grow through many years of the wonderful sports we offer. Please read the following rules and policies carefully.

Sessions are 4 weeks in length and are for billing purposes only. This means that sessions DO NOT always start on the 1st of the month and end on the 31st of the month. The first day of a new session may begin on the 5th day of the current month, or on the 27th day of the previous month. A session calendar is posted in the gym and included with your confirmation letter. A student can enroll or drop at any time during the session (see 30-day notice policy). When registering for or dropping a class, tuition will be calculated based on the posted session calendar for the current year.

A 30-day notice is required to drop a class (i.e. for a 1 hour class once per week, you will be billed for FOUR FULL classes from the date of the request). Forms are available at the front desk or online. If the drop notice is short of the 30 days required, YOU WILL BE BILLED FOR THE REMAINING DAYS. You will receive confirmation of your drop notice in the mail several days prior to your child’s last day of class. If you do not receive a confirmation, please call the front desk, as this may indicate that we did not receive your drop notice and may result in continued charges on your account. The 30 day notice DOES NOT apply to team members as they are under contract during the length of their competition season. Team families wishing to leave the gym MUST meet with management.

In order to maintain consistency and limit confusion, tuition is always due on the 1st of the month and is late by the 10th. A $10 late fee will be added to all overdue accounts. Invoices are not mailed home. It is the client’s responsibility to remember to pay. We can set up email delivery of your monthly statement if desired. Signs will be posted in the gym at the beginning of the month as a reminder. Tuition boxes are located in both gyms. When a late fee is assigned to an account, an invoice will be mailed home. Payment is due upon receipt. If payment is still not received by the 10th of the following month, you will be billed for 30 days from your child(ren)’s last date of attendance and automatically dropped from the program. All accounts that are delinquent by two months will be forwarded to a collection agency.

There will be NO PRORATING for missed classes. Credit will only be given to those clients whose class is cancelled due to an unexpected gym closure or an instructor emergency. We do offer makeups for all recreational classes. Please CALL to schedule a makeup as availability is limited. We are open on most school holidays. Check the enclosed session calendar or call the front desk for gym closure dates.

Please address any concerns regarding classes, instructors or the facility directly to an appropriate supervisor. Remember: we cannot fix a problem unless we are aware of it. Your satisfaction is very important to us!! However, PLEASE do not address your concerns through email. If it's important to you, it's important to us, and it's worth a face to face discussion.

Students who are more than 15 minutes late to class may not be allowed to attend for the day (tots classes excluded). The first 15 minutes of class is a warm up period. A student risks injury if he/she does not warm up properly. Please be prompt to class. Long hair must be tied back, and all shirts must be tucked in. All clothing should be free of zippers and buttons so as not to damage the equipment or injure the instructors. Suitable athletic attire is required. No jeans are allowed. Students may wear socks or go barefoot. No shoes (other than cheer shoes) are permitted on the gym floor.

Instructors must have complete control of their class at all times in order to maintain the safety of their students. If a child is behaving inappropriately during class, the instructor may discipline the child. Examples of this may include sitting a child out for a turn or sitting a child out for the remainder of a class period. Any concerns regarding this policy should be addressed to a staff member.

For the safety of our clients, parents are not permitted on the gym floor for any reason.  If you need to speak with your child, please do so during a water break or ask the front desk attendant to bring your child to you.  You may root and cheer for your child, but please do not coach them or discipline them from the bleachers.  Also, please be sure that any other children who are waiting with you behave properly.  Siblings of enrolled gymnasts and cheerleaders are not permitted on the gym floor or on ANY equipment (including the pit and trampoline).
